The Future of FPC

When FansProjectCore (FPC) was announced there was much excitement, a few releases and then silence. Leaving many to question the purpose of the site.

Now is the moment where your patience pays off. Today we reveal the purpose and what the future holds for FansProjectCore.

First and foremost is fan news, this will always be a resource for Fans Project and other related fan news, releases and announcements. If there is information to be had this will be the place to find it.

Secondly, story. We here at Fans Project Core depend on our loyal fan base and we are happy to present you with an ambitious plan to change the model for how a story-based universe is realized. The Fans Project Core fiction will expand upon the story of the Factions and the Crystals as we promised.

What’s more exciting is that stories created for this universe along with the new interesting characters and concepts that may arise, form the basis for ACTUAL PHYSICAL FIGURES and Products produced in the real world.

Third is Membership. For those who have already signed up on the site and chosen an allegiance, you will soon discover what that choice means and how it will influence your impact on the Fans Project Core universe. The Crystals will also factor in but not immediately.

The big news however, is our forthcoming VIP PACKAGE which will be a paid subscription service offering member access to Priority on Exclusive FPC Products, FansProject Freebie Items, Contests and more. (Details to be announced at a later date).

Included in all levels of membership is access to items ONLY available on the Fans Project Core site. This is not a theoretical item that may happen in the future, the first item has been selected and produced, and is a FULL SIZE FIGURE. In addition to this, there will be a complimentary item available as a free gift with the registration of a VIP membership. Both of these items are limited and will not be offered outside of the Fans Project Core website.

Lastly, Influence. How often have you wanted to have a say on what toys get made, which characters designers focus on, what accessories are produced, and what the Exclusives might be? Here we welcome and invite that by using a polling system, voted on by the members, which will determine what items may be produced and where the designers should place their focus.

The most straight forward way to explain the Role of Fans Project Core in the Fans Project world is to say that we are “The Face” of the fans... a separate entity from Fans Project as a manufacturer but an interface between the manufacturing arm and the fan base. Any issues with items will still be handled by the retailers and not directly through this site, but we will provide feedback from the fans to Fans Project and present the designers with the wishes and opinions of the very people who enjoy their products.

He remembered the day they brought him here.

He remembered sitting on the rooftop looking at the crowds gathering below. It was hard to deny that new order had kept its promise; even the building he stood on was testament to that. Beside him, Optimus sat with his back against the small balustrade, nervously waiting for their target’s arrival. Prime’s hands moved over the surface of the rifle. He had checked and rechecked the prototype device more than a dozen times now, but it was something to occupy the processor while time passed.

He remembered the target’s arrival. The sea of Cybertronians parted. Security forces fanned out along the edges of the crowd. And then he came, striding down the gap in the crowd like a conquering hero beloved by his people. Optimus had turned to look at him. The sorrow in his optics – those Matrix blue windows into the soul of a Prime – was obvious.

He remembered nodding and saying, “It has to be done.” Prime heaved himself around to take aim. He watched as Optimus focussed in on the target below before taking up a similar position himself – a precaution against failure. His own optics zoomed down onto the target. The sun glinted on the ceremonial armour attached to the target’s shoulders as he ascended the stairs of the temporary platform in the centre of the square. Banners displaying the symbol of the new order unfurled and the crowd applauded. He was so close to them now!

He remembered gritting his teeth as the rasping, nasal voice boomed from speakers. “The day has come, as I promised you it would,” Starscrean said. From this angle, he could not see a smile but he could definitely here it. The snivelling coward was now master of Cybertron, Lord High Protector of the planet, leader of a new order. “We have rebuilt Iacon!” The crowd erupted in applause again, shouts of jubilations rang out. “We have ended the millions of cycles of war and strife and suffering. Today we reclaim this site as our capital city! From now onwards, we are one people, united under one banner—“

He remembered the shot firing and his auditory sensors descending into static. Confusion reigned below. The crowd dispersed in a hurried panic. Security personnel scrambled to their emergency positions; internal weapons replacing hands, launchers coming into place on shoulders.

He remembered realising that Optimus had missed.

He remembered trying to reacquire the target as his sensors tracked ground forces storming the building and fliers swooping in to the rooftop. Prime grabbed his cannon arm and pushed him to their escape route. “We have to go!” Optimus yelled above the drone of incoming engines. Over on the roof of the next building, their two-man craft shimmered as its camouflage systems deactivated and the engines began to power up.

He remembered the fliers beginning to land around them. Their rockets shut down and retracted as they converted to bipedal form in mid-landing. Their weapons were drawn. Prime turned and fired his usual weapon – the sniper rifle all but abandoned in the hurry – and knocked three down. He opened up with his cannon, blasting a hole through the torso of one familiar-looking flier, before turning on another.

He remembered them landing behind him. He retracted his hand, replacing it with an Energon mace. The glowing purple bulb crashed into their chest armour, knocking them back. They kept coming. The troopers flowing in from the ground had arrived. He heard shots from behind, turning he saw Optimus returning to the battle. “Don’t be a fool all your life, Prime!” he screamed. “Get to the shuttle!”

He remembered crashing into the ground as five soldiers of the new order jumped him, wrestling him to the rooftop surface. Hard construction-grade metals scrapped against his face and helmet as he continued to struggle. “Run, Prime!” More shots hit his assailants. “I mean it, Optimus,” he yelled again. “Go!” He caught sight of his comrade again and stared into those Matrix-coloured optics.

He remembered Prime turning away from the battle. He fought on, burying his fists into the sides of his myriad attackers. It wasn’t enough. He knew that nothing would stop them taking him. But he also knew that he could keep them fighting long enough to ensure Optimus’ escape.

He remembered the sound of the ship leaving the rooftop and the start of a desperate pursuit. So focussed had they been on him, that Prime had been forgotten about until it was too late. He pushed himself to his feet again, tapping in to his last ergs of energy. Two more troopers fell before him.

He remembered the fist smashing into his face. He remembered the blackness that followed. He remembered the confinement and the torture. He remembered the counting of cycle after cycle after cycle. He remembered the taunting visits from Starscream.

PERFECT EFFECT PE-10X BOTCON EXCLUSIVE

(SHADOW COMMANDER offical) one day i'll do a KO vs Offical review of it.

Perfect effect have given us an another exclusive this year and I have to say it allot better than the last (as in I wanted it)

Again Perfect Effect Know who the greatest TF is that right Shadow Commander with their repaint of KingBat in black, teal blue, red and a little silver.

The sword
Awesome as always not quite A Sword Of furry but will go nice with most (insert name of choice) black repaint of Optimus Prime.

The translucent red (more pink) matches well with the fans project Sword.

The main figure
It a nice little transformer as usual with PE, it goes well with their other products.

The spear
BIG! BIG! BIG! It’s almost as large as the PE GOD sword, and looks great with SC.

The unofficial
Take the spear remove the extensions and the sword and place them in vehicle mode position. And you have an AXE mode witch look menacing again with SC.

As with all things PE and that go with SC I’m bias but it’s a nice repaint.
